In this day and age, our busy schedules allow little time for sleep, let alone living in the moment. We are too busy thinking about the next task on our agenda to actually enjoy the activities we are doing.

The new 100 Happy Day challenge is flooding social media. Started by Dmitry Golubnichy as a way to help him appreciate his life, the challenge quickly took off and now has around one million participants.

The goal of the challenge is to share one happy moment a day via social media with the hashtag #100HappyDays, for 100 days in a row. Of the people who have taken the challenge, 71% failed, mostly due to lack of time, meaning they just didn’t have the time to be happy.

The people who have successfully completed the challenge claim to have become more optimistic. They say the challenge has changed their lives.

“It’s like you put on a new pair of glasses with a different kind of lens, and you look for blessings,” Kathie Lee Gifford told Today.

Proven to make your life better, the real question is, can you be happy for 100 days?
