Kamal Sidhu, Co-Editor-In-Chief

Who said fast-food has to be unhealthy? Well, everyone. Fortunately, they are all wrong. Now you can stop feeling bad about grabbing McDonald’s or even KFC. Fast-food restaurants have healthy options but the average consumer makes it unhealthy by adding fries, or even a soda. So listed below is a few healthy options at fast-food restaurants known for being unhealthy.

McDonald’s: Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich( extra lettuce, tomato, and no mayo), fruit and walnuts, black coffee or water. When you get the sandwich, take off the top half of the bun.

Subway: Six-inch Turkey Breast Sandwich on nine-grain wheat bread. Load up the turkey sub on wheat bread with veggies, avocado, and some mustard. This satisfying meal is under 400 calories and very delicious!

This is suggested by Ingrid Hoffmann, host of Delicioso on Univision and Simply Delicioso on the Cooking Channel.

KFC: Grilled Chicken Drumsticks, green beans, mashed potatoes, unsweetened iced tea. The chicken without skin is actually very healthy and yummy! Dipping the fork into the gravy and then mashed potatoes is better then dumping the gravy on the potatoes.

This is suggested by Mike Moreno, MD, family medicine practitioner and author of The 17 Day Plan to Stop Aging.

Burger King: Whopper Jr., Garden Side Salad. Get the Whopper Jr. with cheese, but no mayo or fries. The hamburger is only 300 calories. The side salad can be eaten with ranch, oil, or vinegar.
