KHS Indianette Car Wash

Cindy Ciotta, Managing Editor

Well, Keller, it’s that time of year in Texas again. The time when the weather can change from sunny and blazing hot out in the morning, to raining cats and dogs that very afternoon. Our beautiful state has major weather mood swings as it transitions from warm summer to crisp autumn. With our ever-so-unpredictable weather comes the inevitable frustration that comes when you just cleaned your car, and then the weather decides to come in and change that — making your car dirty once again. I don’t know about you, avid readers, but personally I am a clean freak when it comes to my car from the inside and out, and a car wash is always welcome.

All the bad weather nonsense and dirty cars were given an innovative solution a few weekends ago by the Indianettes. On August 25 they held their annual Car wash Fundraiser. Indianettes, managers, and Indianette volunteer moms came out ready help make all cars  squeaky clean.

The week preceding the car wash, the line officers sold shirts to advertise the event. The money went toward supporting our dance and drill team. The car wash took place in front of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Keller from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

With multiple buckets filled with soapy water, many towels, and lots of water bottles, the Indianettes washed all cars successfully.
