Keller Girls Soccer Going to Playoffs

Kate Romano and Yanne Diogenes, Staff Writers

After a long and strenuous off season, the work was all worth it for this exact moment. Keller High School’s girls soccer team has now gone on to their third round of playoffs!!

In the first round match Keller had beaten Arlington Lamar, with the score ending in 3-1. Rebecca Keane, senior, had scored all three goals in this game. In the second round they played Midland and swept the win with a final score of 5-0! In this match Berklee Peters had scored two goals, Cami Floth had score one, Makenna Pate had one, and the last goal was scored by Gabby Coleman.

They beat Mansfield at Birdville and moved on to the regional finals where they defeated Southlake! Their next game will be played in Georgetown on Friday night and, if they win, their next game will be played on Saturday.

This year we will be able to say that our very own girls soccer team will make it to state and maybe even nationals! Don’t forget to support our girls on Tuesdays and Fridays!
