My NFL MVP

Evan Starr, Staff Writer

With the NFL regular season coming to a close, the MVP talk is at its highest point, and it is getting heated. With the front runners Zeke Elliott and Aaron Rodgers (don’t ask me how he is even in the discussion) and with guys like Matt Ryan and Dak Prescott who are also getting attention as potential MVP winners, people are starting to state their opinions and arguing about who should win, and I thought I would do the same.

My NFL MVP is Ezekiel Elliott, and here is why. Zeke has had one of the best seasons for a rookie running back ever; he leads the NFL with 1631 rushing yard 15 rushing touchdowns. Zeke has the second all time most rushing yards in a season, only behind the great Eric Dickerson. He also has 363 receiving yards; for a running back that’s not too shabby. Also the fact that he is just rookie just makes it that much more impressive, and for those reasons I have him on top of my MVP chart.

As for the others, I have Matt Ryan coming up just short for second place, then Dak, the Aaron Rodgers (again, not that he deserves to be even that high but that’s another topic for another day).

So that’s my opinion on the MVP race, but we will just have to wait and see who the people who actually make a difference, vote for and who they decide is most deserving.
