Working out- many dread it, but an elite few love the feeling they get before, during, and after a good workout. However, many people let the dread and anticipation of working out psych themselves out of working out. Today I have some tips to get in a great workout and to avoid the mental block surrounding working out.

First, however as cheesy this may sound, finding a workout that you love is a major key to enjoy your workout. For me, I happen to love running which helps me get up in the morning to run or go after I’m done with my homework. You can still get an awesome workout doing something with less cardio like taking a zumba class or swimming laps.

Many people’s goal for working out is to tone up certain parts of their body. Yet, toning up is hard without doing anything before and just doing a couple crunches in hopes of shaping your abs. The key to shaping up is doing cardio before spot focusing. For example, biking or running and then doing an ab or leg workout.

One mistake that many people make is thinking that they need a membership to an expensive gym in order to be fit or have a good workout. But, nowadays a lot of awesome workouts are on Youtube so you can get in a quick workout for free, and at home.

The last tip I have for a great workout is having a playlist that you can jam out to while feeling the burn of your awesome workout. Here is my personal playlist that hopefully you can use to listen to while working out. I like to have a mix of angry rap with upbeat pop and alternative to keep me motivated the whole workout long.
