Rangers are in the Playoffs!

Evan Starr, Staff Writer

Your Texas Rangers are in the playoffs! Yes, the Texas Rangers won the whole American

League with a 95-67 record, and doing so they have home field advantage throughout the tough road that is the MLB playoffs.

The Rangers had a tremendous regular season. They won 95 games and pulled out the

best record in the American League and 2nd best in the whole MLB, behind only the mighty Cubs. But now all that goes out the window with the playoffs starting, no one cares what you did in the regular season, it’s all about if you can win in October, let’s hope this Ranger team can.

Their first matchup will be against the one and only Toronto Blue Jays, and we all know what

happened the last time these two teams faced off. It will be tough but with this Ranger line up with Odor, Beltran, and Lucroy and two aces in Yu Darvish and Cole Hamels have a good chance to win it all. I predict this ranger team to pull this series out, even against the power-hitting lineup of Toronto. Texas will have Cole Hamels starting game 1 and Yu Darvish starting game 2. Colby Lewis will be your game 3 starter, and if needed Martin Perez will be game 4, and if by chance there is a game 5 Cole Hamels will be on the mound again trying to close it out.
So starting on October 5, see if your Texas Rangers can pull it out against the Blue Jays and advanced to the ALCS for the first time since 2012.
