NBA Season Preview

With the NBA season fast approaching they’re still a lot of big time story lines that have yet to sort out and with a huge free agency year during the off-season we are going to see a lot of big time players on different teams. Like Kevin Durant, who shocked the world leaving OKC and going to the Golden State Warriors and Dwyane Wade who left his long time team Miami Heat to go back home in Chicago to the Bulls. And that’s just naming a couple.

Going into the 2016-2017 season the popular opinion is that we already know the finals matchup, and that it’s going to be Golden State vs Cleveland yet again for the 3rd straight year. Although there are a couple of teams who I think can possibly make a run at Cleveland and maybe even Golden State, like the Bulls who with the acquisition of Dwyane Wade and signing of Rajon Rondo and who still have Jimmy Butler could easily give Cleveland a run for its money.

Don’t forget about the Timberwolves, who may not be a Finals caliber team quite yet but have some tremendous young talent in Andrew Wiggins, Kris Dunn and Karl-Anthony Towns. They are definitely on the rise, and I think have a chance to be an absolute powerhouse in a couple of years.

As for the Mavs, they’re not too shabby. Finals? No, but i’m not counting them out on at least making the playoffs and who knows, they might even get out of the first round with a win. But that’s way off into the future. Right now, every team just wants to see that sweet 1-0 record after their first game.
