Support For Our Swimmers

The KHS swim team has remained undefeated all season this year under the coaching of Linda Shultz.

Ellyn Frohberg, a Senior on the Varsity team, believes that the team lost a valuable teammate, Laura Norman, but they are “all working hard and have made up for it in some ways.”

Frohberg is on the Keller Varsity Swimming team and her club team, Mid-Cities Arlington Swimming (MARS).

“The beginning of the season has been ok for me,” Frohberg said. “I haven’t had any best times yet, but I’m working hard at high school practice and club practice after school.”

The KHS swimming team will compete in the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association UIL event on November 21st and 22nd. They also will compete in the “Battle of 1709,” in which Southlake Carroll’s district swim teams compete against Keller’s All-Stars.

Last year, Keller won the “Battle of 1709” against Southlake and broke their 52 meet winning streak, and Frohberg believes the team “hopefully will do that again this year.”
