Everyone knows that Fall is the season for pumpkin flavored everything and Friday night football, but here at Keller there are other sports that are overlooked.

The Tennis team has been very successful thanks to the head coach Dave Vinsant. Sophomore varsity player Maddie Johnston describes the team as one big family, and explains that Vinsants’ experience with great players benefits everyone in the class.

“It’s really hard to be out with an injury because I love this sport so much and miss not being able to hold a racket!” Johnston said.

She broke her elbow and shoulder growth plate due to overuse of her arm, and although tennis is an individual sport, they play as a team and her injury affects everyone.

A majority of the athletes play outside of school in tournaments all around Texas. You will not want to miss tennis’ great season so be sure to come out and support them at some of their meets!

Another way to get in involved in Tennis is to check out the Custom Dri-FIT Keller Indian Socks. They are $16 a pair and come in white, pink, gold and navy!
