Music That’s Making Noise

Koen Samuel, Assistant Editor

The months of September and October have been great months for the music industry. Plenty of artists have released new music and some have released entire albums for fans around the world. Let’s take a look at some of the artists who have made some artistic waves over the last few weeks.

A year and a half after releasing Beerbongs and Bentleys, Post Malone completed another album by releasing Hollywood’s Bleeding. The album is Malone’s third studio album and features artists such as DaBaby, Meek Mill, SZA, and Travis Scott. Malone initially hinted he was working on a new project in late 2018, and by this past September he was ready to release his album. It’s a crossover of hip hop and rock and roll, and features acoustic melodies throughout the album.

The next artist who’s currently releasing new music is Camila Cabello. The “Havana” singer recently released four new songs over the past five weeks. She has informed her fans that her second studio album will be titled Romance. She has said that the album will be focused on falling in love and so far she has not been rumored to have any features.

Lastly, an artist whose been in the game for a decade, Chris Brown. The hip hop and R&B singer treated fans to near a whole other album by releasing his Indigo Extended album on October 3. He originally released his ninth studio album Indigo on June 28, but just like his previous album Heartbreak On A Full Moon (2017), Brown released a follow up extended album. The “Grass Ain’t Greener” singer has entertained fans with 43 new songs with features from Gunna, Dani Leigh, Tank, Lil Wayne and best of all, Drake. Their collaboration on “No Guidance” has seen them conquer top spot on Billboard’s Top 100 and remain there for nine weeks. He’s currently on his “Indigoat” tour and despite being 30 “Breezy” has showed no signs of stopping.

These are just some of the artists making waves in the music industry. Some are new, others are experienced and have been there and done that, but they all have an artistic ability that needs to be heard.
