Taylor Swift Has a New Reputation

Taylor Swift’s fifth studio album is coming within days. Her normal album release schedule is every two years with a release date in October. For the first time in her career, her forthcoming album Reputation is coming out on November 10. Her past three albums have all sold over one million copies in their first week, and  Reputation is expected to sell 1.7 million copies in its first week alone.

With the first single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift has already broken the record for most watched Vevo video in 24 hours, and the most watched YouTube video in 24 hours with a whopping 43.2 million views. The song broke the record for most played song on Spotify in a day with 10.1 million streams, and it was the most played song on pop radio in a day, as well as the fastest video to hit 500 million views just within the song’s first month of release.

Swift released the second single off of Reputation through a college football commercial. “…Ready For It?” debuted in the lead-up to the Alabama vs. Florida State game. When the song was released, it went straight to number one, taking over Swift’s “Look” on the charts.

Weeks later, Swift released a promo single for the album, “Gorgeous ” where fans see a glimpse of just how normal Swift is. In the song she talks about being nervous to talk to a gorgeous boy. Fans were pretty excited to see Swift running into the same everyday issues as they do. The song went to number one within 12 hours, and it was Swift’s third song on the album to do so.

With three songs and two music videos out, everyone is talking about one person — Taylor Swift. Her new album Reputation comes out in just nine days, and this certainly won’t be the last you hear of the album.
