Fashion Inspiration 101

When it comes to style, clothes play a big role in expressing who people are. A woman who wears a dress with birds on it may feel mystical and free, hence the symbolism of the birds. A man who wears denim jackets with black shirts every other day may feel his highest energy because his favorite drummer wears almost the exact same thing. Clothes have the power to make you feel confident, creative, and even help dig deeper into who you are as a person.

Shaila Griffis (left) finds inspiration in her clothes through a bohemian styled “hippie” (in her words: Stevie Nicks) and expresses herself with flowery and earth-toned clothes. The dress featured in the photo above came from Earthbound, “The best place in the world.”

Hannah Hershey (right) finds her style inspiration through the 60’s and 70’s era and expresses herself with these chic and flowy 70’s inspired pants that she got her hands on from Target. “I admire that time period and I try to embrace it!” Hershey said.

When it comes down to expressing yourself through fashion, don’t be afraid to wear the clothes that make you feel empowered. Wear those heels, that denim jacket, that fur coat, or those red skinny jeans. Nothing sets your soul more free than allowing yourself to show your real colors.
