Album Review: Bad Suns

Album Review: Bad Suns

Lauren Lents, Staff Writer

Recently, the band Bad Suns has released an album called “Disappear Here.”

Even though all of the songs are all great, I decided to review my top 5.

  1. Disappear Here- The first song off the album starts with a slow, quiet melody, then it erupts with guitar and goes back to a soft voice. It’s exactly what you would expect from Bad Suns, and it’s pretty awesome. Fittingly titled the same as the album.
  1. Daft Pretty Boys- Again, with a slow melody to start off, then with add-ins of guitar. This song is definitely one that you will play while in the car, with the volume turned all the way up. One of the only explicit songs on the album, but it’s totally worth it. The chorus speeds up, it’s one of my favorite parts off the entire album.
  1. Violet- A little slower than the other two but the chorus really picks up. This song is one that will definitely remind you of summer and make you want to go camping with friends or throw a pool party. It absolutely deserves a spot in the top 5.
  2. Defeated- This was the first song off the album that I discovered, while listening to the radio. Within seconds I had downloaded it; Defeated is probably my favorite song off the whole thing. The chorus really ties the whole thing together, the bridge leads up to it only building it up more. Definitely the slowest song of the 5, but probably the most meaningful overall.

5. Outskirts of Paradise- This song has the coolest beginning, it starts with one beat. It’s another song for summer, or long drives, or hanging out with your friends. Perfect for any occasion, it’s very high up in this list of one of the best songs of all time.
